United States Route 113 and Delaware Route 1 join for 12.27 miles from Dover to Milford in Kent County. US 113 was officially truncated to DE 1 in Milford in 2004, thereby eliminating the US 113/DE 1 duplex, but US 113 signs are still posted along the duplex.

Southbound exiting DE 1 at Exit 97 for the Puncheon Run Connector in southern Dover. The freeway shown is DE 1, and the next exit (Exit 95) is for US 113, which merges with DE 1 shortly after Exit 95.

Twelve miles to the south approaching Milford, DE 1 and US 113 split around the city. DE 1 has a business route, which begins as the US 113/Business DE 1 duplex, which serves the west side of Milford. DE 1 serves the east side en route to the beaches along the Delaware Bay.
