US 13(N-S)/DE 404(W-E) Duplex

 

United States Route 13 and Delaware Route 404 join for 2.53 miles through Bridgeville in Sussex County.

Northbound on US 13/Sussex Highway at the junction of Business US 13/Business DE 404 and DE 404. The old alignments of US 13 and DE 404 serve the center of Bridgeville as business routes (even though Business US 13 is sometimes signed as Alt US 13). US 13/DE 404 bypasses the town to the east.

DE 404 west joins US 13 north at the southern split, just ahead at the intersection.

The US 13/DE 404 duplex begins here straight ahead, and the Business US 13/Business DE 404 duplex begins to the left.

 

 

US 13(N-S)/Old Alternate DE 404(W-E) Duplex

United States Route 13 and Delaware Alternate Route 404 used to join for 2.53 miles by Bridgeville in Sussex County. Alternate DE 404 was improved as a bypass of mainline DE 404 through Bridge. The bypass, Alternate DE 404, became DE 404, and the city route, DE 404, became Business DE 404. Thus the US 13/Alternate DE 404 duplex is now simply US 13/DE 404.
