United States Route 13 and Delaware Route 72 join for 0.2 miles near Wrangle Hill in New Castle County.

Southbound on US 13 on the offramp from the DE 1 turnpike. US 13 splits from DE 1 at Exit 152, a diamond interchange. US 13 makes a left onto DE 72 south.

Southbound on US 13/DE 72, the first left leads back onto DE 1 north. The intersection in the distance is the end of the short US 13/DE 72 duplex.

US 13 turns right at that intersection, while DE 72 continues toward the east. DE 7 begins here to the left.

DE 72 heads eastward (but southward overall in the state) toward Delaware City. US 13 turns south to serve the capital, Dover, in the central part of the state.

DE 72 north enters from the right, and the US 13/DE 72 duplex begins to the left on the way to DE 1. DE 7 begins straight ahead.
