Northbound on DE 9 with US 13 north merging from the right from D Street. The duplex begins here northbound on New Castle Avenue, and the southbound duplex ends one block to the west, having followed one-way Herald Street. Part of D Street actually accomodates the wrong-way version of this same-way duplex.

Alex Nitzman & Adam Froehlig 4/4/04
Northbound along US 13/DE 9 crossing the Christiana River. The northbound duplex is poorly signed, and the sign assembly to the right is the only one that has had both US 13 and DE 9 signed.

Alex Nitzman & Adam Froehlig 4/4/04
Northbound on US 13/DE 9 at the northern split in Wilmington. US 13 north splits to the right here onto Church Street, while DE 9 continues ahead on Fourth Street.

One block ahead, US 13/Spruce Street south enters from the right to begin the duplex behind the camera. DE 9 continues northwestward to end at DE 2 in Wilmington.

Southbound on US 13/Spruce Street south at the northern split. US 13 makes a left turn to join DE 9.

Alex Nitzman 4/10/04
Southbound on US 13/DE 9 one block south of the northern split. To the left is US 13/Church Street north. The southbound duplex has old US 13 shields, including this rotated shield.

Alex Nitzman 4/10/04
The first southbound reassurance shields have a no-right-turn sign in place of the DE 9 shield.

Alex Nitzman 4/10/04
The tides have turned on the poorly posted duplex as further south, DE 9 is signed but the US 13 sign is missing.

Alex Nitzman 4/10/04
In the southern part of the duplex, DE 9 exits on a single-ramp interchange to connect to its mainline, New Castle Avenue. US 13 south continues ahead on Herald Street.
