Northbound on I-95/I-495 at the 3 o'clock position of the Capitol
Beltway around Washington, DC. Exit 19A leads to I-595/US 50. I-595
is not signed anywhere because the freeway is already better known
as "Route 50" and because the designation would be redundant,
always concurrent with US 50. The big green sign on the right was
installed before the decision was made not to sign I-595, and so a
blank spot was left for the I-595 shield.

Eastbound at the beginning of I-595 and the I-595/US 50 duplex. The
first exit, for MD 704, is Exit 8 because the exits are numbered according
to US 50's mileage instead of I-595's. US 50 extends an extra 7 miles
inside the Capitol Beltway to reach the DC line.

Five miles to the east, US 301 joins at Exit 13 en route to Annapolis.

50/US 301 multiplex page.
