Maryland Routes 7 and 213 join for 0.06 miles through Elkton in Cecil County. Only a segment of MD 7D westbound joins MD 213 in this one-way duplex.

Westbound on MD 7/Howard Street in Elkton. MD 7's two directions of travel follow different streets through the town. MD 7 east uses Main Street, which is narrow and full of pedestrian traffic. Howard Street is used by both MD 7 westbound and as a bypass of MD 7 eastbound.

MD 7 westbound uses a block of MD 213 to return to its two-way alignment west of MD 213. Here MD 7 west turns right to join MD 213.

MD 213 north on its approach to Howard Street. MD 7 joins at the traffic light ahead. Traffic can use Howard Street or Main Street for MD 7 eastbound.

The duplex is so short that there are no reassurance shields. Instead, signs at Main Street mark the split of MD 7 (turns left) and MD 213 (straight ahead). MD 7 east follows Main Street to the right.
