Recent
History:
PA 970 used to follow a routing from US 322 to Woodland,
through Pine Top, south past Bigler, and meeting its current routing west of Wallaceton,
without forming a duplex with US 322. In late 2001 or early 2002, the designation
was moved to duplex with US 322 from Woodland to Wallaceton, then following Old
SR 2034 back to its former routing. Then in 2005, PA 970 was truncated to its new southern end at US 322.
