Here westbound PA 45 meets Business US 322 at the eastern split in Boalsburg. Business US 322 is the old routing of US 322 before the State College Bypass was built. PA 45 meets US 322 at a partial interchange less than a half mile behind the camera.

Along eastbound Business US 322 a little to the west, a sign hints that the highway narrows as it approaches the eastern split.

Here at the eastern split, Business US 322 is signed as TO US 322. This view is about a half mile from the US 322 State College Bypass along either PA 45 or Business US 322.

From westbound Business US 322, PA 45 joins here at the eastern split, making the two lane road become four lanes.

In the middle of the five-lane (two lanes each direction and a center turning lane) duplex, traffic meets a traffic signal at the Boalsburg Pike and Church Street in Boalsburg.

Further to the west, PA 45 splits from Business US 322 just outside of Boalsburg.

Old US 322(E-W)/PA 45(E-W) Duplex

Before the State College Bypass was built, US 322 followed current Business US 322. The Business US 322/PA 45 duplex was designated US 322/PA 45.

Boalsburg's Main Street meets Business US 322/PA 45 at its eastern split, completing the four-way intersection. Old signs remain from the days before the US 322 bypass when US 322 followed current Business US 322.
