I-81(N-S)/PA 309(N-S) Duplex

I-81 and PA 309 join for a 5-mile, same-way duplex from Wilkes-Barre to Ashley in Luzerne County.

I-81 southbound at the PA 115 & PA 309 interchange. PA 309 merges with I-81 at the next curve in the road. The overpasses carry PA 309 to the north and PA 115 to the south.

Five miles to the southwest, PA 309 splits from I-81 and meets the southern end of its former routing, now Business PA 309.
