I-95(N-S)/US 322(E-W) Duplex

 

Interstate 95 and United States Route 322 join for a mile through Chester in Delaware County.

I-95 southbound approaching the eastern split. US 322 crosses the Delaware River on the Commodore Barry Bridge and joins I-95 just ahead. Motorist formerly had to pay a toll to cross the bridge. The word "TOLL" is greened-out to the left of the US 322 shield on the right overhead guide sign.

Soon after US 322 joins, the highway splits from I-95.

Northbound on I-95 approaching the duplex with US 322. No direct access is provided from I-95 north to US 322 west, and so connecting traffic exits early at Exit 2 to use PA 452 north to reach US 322.

Now heading northbound on I-95 where US 322 east merges from the left to form the duplex. Signs for the end of the duplex are posted right away. There is no Exit 3 for US 322 west on I-95 northbound.

US 322 east splits off I-95 to meet the Commodore Barry Bridge to New Jersey, while I-95 north climbs above the interchange.
