PA 144 and PA 150 join for about 2 miles between Milesburg
and Bellefonte in Centre County.
Timothy Reichard 8/3/02
The southern split of the duplex is at the north end of Bellefonte. Here the two roads merge. PA 150 is the road to the left of the PA 144 and PA 150 shields, and PA 144 is to the right. PA 150 northbound traffic has the only stop sign at the intersection, and those drivers must twist their head almost 180 degrees to check for PA 144 northbound traffic. A few blocks to the south are the northern splits of the PA 144/PA 550 and PA 150/PA 550 duplexes. In 2002, this shield
assembly was supplemented with a few new signs. The I-80 trailblazer is new.

Timothy Reichard 8/3/02
The other side of the shield
assembly clearly shows the southern split. The TO US 322 shield is new.

Two miles to the north,
after passing through Milesburg, PA 144 and PA 150 split to join Alternate US
220 in the Alternate US 220/PA 144 wrong-way duplex and the Alternate US 220/PA
150 same-way duplex. The three duplexes meet at this interchange. In November
2002, US 220 was relocated from these duplexes to the new Future I-99 expressway
to the east. As a result, Alternate US 220 was commissioned to take US 220's place
here. These signs are from the earlier era, showing US 220 rather than Alternate
US 220.

Timothy Reichard 12/27/04
After the US 220 relocation, ALTERNATE banners were tacked onto the signs.

More old signs at the interchange.
This is the northern split of PA 144/PA 150.

Timothy Reichard 12/27/04
New signs for Alternate US 220 and I-80 are now posted in front of the decades-old END 35 MILE SPEED sign.

Timothy Reichard 12/27/04
PA 144/PA 150 is well signed
on Alternate US 220/PA 150 southbound. Not far south of the beginning of the Alternate
US 220/PA 150 duplex, its split is already signed with PA 144/PA 150.

Timothy Reichard 8/3/02
Another big green sign announces
the exit for PA 144/PA 150 southbound.

Timothy Reichard 12/27/04
At the interchange, PA 144
joins Alternate US 220 for a wrong-way duplex and PA 150 for a same-way duplex.
This is the southern split of Alternate US 220/PA 150 and the northern split of
both Alternate US 220/PA 144 and PA 144/PA 150. The ALT tab is new. The rest of these signs are from before the
Alternate US 220 era.

Timothy Reichard 8/3/02
Heading in the other direction
(north on Alternate US 220/PA 144), the PA 144/PA 150 duplex is signed, but the
fact that PA 150 joins Alternate US 220 is not signed before the Alternate US
220/PA 150 duplex begins.
