PA 239 and PA 487 join for a 1 mile same-way duplex through Benton in Columbia County.
The PA 239/PA 487 duplex begins here in the heart of Benton, a small, well-kept town south of the forests of Rickett's Glen State Park.
The two routes join here on the south side of town. This is the southern split as viewed from PA 487 northbound. PA 239/PA 487 then crosses Fishing Creek over the bridge just ahead.
Here is PA 239 northbound's view of the southern terminus.
Now facing to the south, the two routes split. PA 487 heads toward Bloomsburg while PA 239 heads to Shickshinny to duplex with US 11.
A mile to the north, outside of town, PA 239 splits off to the northwest, eventually ending at PA 42.
Here is the view from PA 239 southbound as it joins PA 487. PA 487 also heads north to another duplexPA 118/PA 487 in Red Rock.
Here are the "suburbs" of Benton on the north side. The PA 239/PA 487 is well signed as a duplex.
