Pennsylvania Route 283 and Truck Route 341 join for 5 miles bypassing Deodate in Dauphin and Lancaster Counties. Truck PA 341 is signed only in the eastbound direction.

Northbound on Toll House Road (eastbound on Truck PA 341) east of Middletown. PA 341 is a narrow road through the village of Deodate
a couple miles to the east, and so truck traffic is encouraged to
bypass the village by using PA 230, PA 283, and PA 743 instead. PA 283 was being reconstructed in 2003.
