Pennsylvania Routes 286 and 981 join for a short duplex near Saltsburg in Westmoreland County.

Westbound on PA 286 at the end of the Kiskiminetas River bridge between Saltsburg and Locust Gap. Here PA 286 encounters PA 981 and joins the route for a short duplex. The Heritage Route sign appears to have stolen the left-pointing arrow from the PA 981 South shield.
