Near Jones Mills, PA 711 splits off to the south along PA 381 south through the state parks of Fayette County. Three routes and three duplexes meet at the upcoming intersection: PA 31/PA 711, PA 31/PA 381, and PA 381/PA 711.

Around the bend, PA 711 splits off to the right, while PA 31 east/PA 381 north continues straight ahead to Jones Mills and the Forbes State Forest.
