PA 35(N-S)/PA 235(N-S) Duplex

PA 35 and PA 235 merge to form a same-way duplex for a few blocks through McAlisterville in Juniata County.

The PA 35/PA 235 duplex is one of the few in the state where a child and parent route share the same roadway. PA 235 southbound enters McAlisterville here at the northern split and joins PA 35.

Here is the view of the northern split from PA 35/PA 235 northbound. PA 235 splits off to the left just past the gas station, while PA 35 continues straight ahead. This duplex lacks confirmation markers because its length is small, less than a quarter mile.

At the other end of town, a similar sign stand to indicate that PA 235 turns left at McAlisterville's only traffic signal. PA 35 continues straight ahead from here, the southern split.
