Pennsylvania Routes 36 and 164 join for 2 miles through McKee and Roaring Spring in Blair County.

Northbound on PA 36 at the southern split of the PA 36/PA 164 duplex. PA 164 west joins from the right, and the duplex begins straight ahead.

Two miles to the northwest, PA 36 leaves three-lane PA 164 to serve Hollidaysburg to the north. PA 164 continues to meet the newly extended Business US 220 and I-99/US 220 at Exit 23.

Now eastbound on PA 164 at the northern split. PA 36 joins PA 164 immediately after PA 164 leaves Business US 220. The duplex begins ahead.

PA 36/PA 164 is a three-lane road that dodges the centers of McKee and Roaring Spring as it cuts through the mountains of Blair County.

PA 36/PA 164 used to cut through Roaring Spring on Main Street, but now it follows the perimeter of the town here.
