PA 54 and PA 405 join for a mile through Montgomery in Lycoming and Northumberland
Counties.

PA 54 and PA 405 meet in the riverside town of Montgomery by the NSRC
railroad tracks.

Here is a view of the T intersection where PA 54 and PA 405 meet at the
northern split. This view is along PA 54 eastbound, which turns right
at the stop sign. PA 405 goes straight ahead and to the right at the stop
sign. To the right of PA 54 here is another street that seems useful only
for parking. Just to the right of that street are the railroad tracks.
A train drove by on the tracks during my photo session here.

Now facing the opposite direction at the northern split, this view is
from PA 405 southbound, which turns left, and PA 54 westbound, which continues
ahead.

A third view shows the split.

From Montgomery, PA 54/PA 405 cross the West Branch Susquehanna River
and then split here on the eastern shore. PA 54 turns left and heads up
a hill. Both PA 54 and PA 405 form a duplex with PA 44: PA 44/PA 54 in
Turbotville, and PA 44/PA 405 in Watsontown.

At the end of the descent of that hill back to PA 405, PA 54 joins PA
405 northbound here. There are two stop signs at this junction.

Finally, here is the southern split as seen from PA 405 northbound. Both
stop signs can be seen from PA 54.
