Reassurance shields eastbound. Marshburg lies just past the eastern split.

The eastern split of PA 59/PA 321. A left turn leads to PA 321 north, which follows the pre-flooding routing of PA 59. In the 1960s, the Allegheny River was dammed to create the Allegheny Reservoir. In the process, parts of PA 59 and PA 346 were permanently submerged, along with the communities of Corydon, Cowango, Cornplanter, and Kinzua. A new PA 321 bypasses the submerged roadway to the northwest, and PA 59 was rerouted due westward on a new alignment.

Now heading westbound along the duplex. This part of PA 59 was built to avoid the submerged roadway, and the Kinzua Dam created the reservoir.

The routes split ahead. PA 59 continues west to join its pre-flooding alignment past the reservoir, and PA 321 turns southwestward to connect to the part of PA 68 that was also submerged.
