PA 68 and PA 356 join for 1.5 miles through Butler in Butler County.

PA 68 eastbound meets PA 356 here at the western split west of Butler. PA 356 and PA 68/PA 356 appear to have taken over the old US 422 route when the US 422 bypass was built.

These signs at the western split are mildly unusual. The shields are confirmation signs, which are normally posted a short distance from the intersection. Below the shields are little white signs that are normally posted at the intersection.
