Pennsylvania Routes 8 and 380 join for two blocks through Pittsburgh
in Allegheny County.

Timothy Reichard 3/9/03
Westbound on Penn Avenue (PA 380) in the Homewood neighborhood of northeast
Pittsburgh. PA 8 meets PA 380 at Washington Boulevard.

Reassurance shields southeastbound. Unlike most of PA 380 in Pittsburgh,
PA 380 is well signed at this duplex.

Timothy Reichard 3/9/03
Two blocks to the east, PA 380 splits off to the north on Dallas Avenue.
Thus PA 8 and PA 380 trade Penn Avenue. PA 8 ends two miles ahead at the
split of I-376/US 22 & US 30.

Timothy Reichard 3/9/03
The eastern split as seen on PA 8 north.

Timothy Reichard 3/9/03
Reassurance shields are separated on PA 8 north/PA 380 west. Note the
little white sign for PA 380, which reads SR 400. PA 380 was designated internally as SR 400 (I-380 is SR 380) but the visible designation PA 380 remains.

Timothy Reichard 3/9/03
Two blocks to the west, PA 8 splits to the north, eventually reaching
all the way up to Erie County in the northwest corner of the state. PA
380 will lead to The Point in western Pittsburgh.

Eric Lasher 2004
PA 8 south at the western split. Pittsburgh's blue, overhead street signs complement the little white SR 400 sign.
