Pennsylvania Routes 8 and 89 join for 2.1 miles through Wattsburg in Erie County.

Southbound on the PA 8/PA 89 duplex on a day full of lake effect snow. South of Wattsburg, PA 89 splits to the southeast on its way to a duplex with US 6 in Elgin. PA 8 continues southward toward its own US 6 duplex in Union City.

Northbound on PA 89 at the same intersection. Though difficult to see through the snow, PA 89's roadway splits to form a Y at PA 8. PA 89 follows PA 8 north through Wattsburg.

North of Wattsburg, PA 8 turns left on its voyage to Erie, while PA 89 bypasses Erie to the east on its way to Northeast.
