US 11 and PA 533 meet here, a mile northeast of Shippensburg and PA 174's
western terminus at the edge of town. In the middle of town, PA 696 joins
the duplex to make the brief US 11/PA 533/PA 696 triplex. Further west,
US 11/PA 533 split.

The US 11/PA 533/PA 696 triplex is quite short, lasting just one block
of the longer US 11/PA 533 duplex. These shields are conveniently separated
by direction, with a nice symmetry in the northbound route shield numbers.

Jay Rotz
Taking a few steps back along US 11/PA 533, the western split can be
seen. PA 696 leaves the triplex to follow Fayette Street to the southern
Shippensburg exit of I-81.

Here is the view along PA 696 northbound. US 11 and PA 533 split a couple
of blocks to the left.

A block to the east, PA 696 southbound joins the duplex here.
