United States Route 13 and Pennsylvania Route 3 westbound join for
two blocks in western Philadelphia in Philadelphia County.

Eastbound on Chestnut Street (PA 3) at 38th Street in western Philadelphia,
a few blocks west of the Schuylkill River. PA 3 runs both ways here
on Chestnut Street, but at the next intersection, PA 3 west will enter
from the north (left) while PA 3 east continues straight ahead (east).
A left on 38th Street puts you on US 13 north alone, but opposing
traffic there is US 13 south/PA 3 west.

Just ahead along Chestnut Street, US 13 south follows 38th Street
south. This intersection marks the southern split of the US 13/PA
3 duplex.
