in Mercer in Mercer County.

Heading west on PA 58 west/PA 258 north, which split here
at the northwest corner of the square in Mercer. The signs in the background
show PA 58 west heading right with US
19/US 62 north and PA 258 north following US 19/US 62 south to the
left. PA 58 east also heads left, making this intersection the northern
split of a one-way quadruplex, which lasts for half a block.

David Brunot 2/03
A courthouse stands in the middle of the Mercer square. Four routes run
around the courthouse, creating several multiplexes. A half-block south
of the previous photo's location, this view is from US 62 north/PA 258
south (a fourth duplex), and these two routes split here. To the right
is the US 19/PA 58/PA 258 triplex, which
runs from this intersection for half a block to barely off the right edge
of the photo. To the left is US 19/US 62 north, and from the left
is US 19 south/US 62 south/PA 58 east/PA 258 north. The other direction
of PA 58/PA 258 runs around the square. PA 58
west does not actually use the street shown here, but ventures as close
as a half-block to the left.
United States Route 19 joins PA 58/PA 258 for half a block
in Mercer in Mercer County.

David Brunot 2/03
This view is from a half-block south of the intersection
shown in the previous photo and looking north toward that intersection.
The half-block in between carries US 19 south/PA 58 east/PA 258 south
toward the camera and US 19 north along away from the camera. To the
right is the beginning of the PA 58/PA 258 duplex,
ahead to the left is the US 62/PA 258 duplex, and straight ahead two
half-blocks away is the US 19/US 62/PA
58 triplex.
Pennsylvania Routes 58 and 258 join for a block through
Mercer in Mercer County. Part of the duplex is joined by United States
Route 19 in the US 19/PA 58/PA 258 triplex, and part of that triplex
is joined by United States Route 62 in the US 19/US 62/PA 58/PA 258
quadruplex.

David Brunot 2/03
From US 19 south/PA 58 east/PA 258 south, PA 58/PA 258
turns east to continue around the courthouse in the middle of town.

David Brunot 2/03
A block to the east, PA 58 and PA 258 split apart. At
the eastern split, the duplex changes relative directions. PA 58 east/PA
258 south heads east on the one-way street on the south side of the
courthouse. At the southeast corner, mainline PA 258 meets the square.
PA 258 south splits off to the south, while PA 258 north joins the square.

David Brunot 2/03
PA 58 east/PA 258 north then heads north for a
half a block on the east side of the courthouse to this intersection.
Here mainline PA 58 meets the square, where PA 58 east splits to the
east and PA 58 west joins the square.

David Brunot 2/03
Here is the view from PA 58 west.

David Brunot 2/03
Continuing around the square, the duplex continues north
on the east side of the courthouse to the northeast corner of the square.
PA 58 west/PA 258 north makes a left turn.

David Brunot 2/03
Continuing to the northwest corner of the square, PA 58/PA
258 meets US 19/US 62, making the US 19/US 62/PA 58/PA 258 one-way quadruplex
to the left and the US 19/US 62/PA 58 triplex to the right, completing
the round-trip about the courthouse. (This is the same photo as the
first photo on this page.)
