United States Route 1 and Pennsylvania Route 52 join for a 0.7 mile-long wrong-way duplex through Hamorton in Chester County.

Northbound on US 1/Baltimore Pike in Longwood where PA 52 joins ahead at the signalized intersection. The intersection is the first in Pennsylvania for northbound travelers, as the freeway portion of US 1 ends just before reaching here.

US 1 and PA 52 are signed in opposite directions along this duplex, as US 1 is heading toward Maine and PA 52 toward Delaware.

Less than a mile east of the merge, PA 52 splits off to the south toward Delaware. US 1 continues eastward toward Philadelphia.

Now northbound on PA 52, PA 52 joins onto US 1 in the opposite direction.

The duplex is a divided, four-lane highway with access controls.

PA 52 splits off to the north toward its end in West Chester. US 1 becomes a freeway less than a mile ahead to meet Maryland.
