US 222(N-S)/PA 372(W-E) Duplex

US Route 222 and Pennsylvania Route 372 join for a half mile through Quarryville in Lancaster County.

The view of the western split heading east on PA 372. US 222 joins from the left, and the duplex begins heading into the heart of Quarryville. The duplex did not always exist. US 222 south used to proceed straight through this intersection and met its current alignment on the south side of the town, bypassing the middle of the town.

Another of PA 372's sibling routes, PA 472, ends in Quarryville, just past the eastern split of US 222/PA 372. The duplex is short enough that there are no reassurance shields for the duplex.
