United States Route 22 and Business Route 220 join for a mile through
Duncansville in Blair County.

Westbound on US 22 entering Duncansville. US 22 meets Business US
220 here at the intersection with Plank Road. Before 2003, Business
US 220 ended to the north at the Plank Road interchange of I-99/US
220, but in mid-2003, the business route was extend southward another
15 miles to the Sproul exit of I-99/US 220. Business US 220 enters
from the right and merges with US 22 at this intersection.

Timothy Reichard 12/27/03
Southbound on Plank Road, the new Business US 220. Plank Road was
widened to 5 lanes in 2002-03, and these new signs were placed overhead.
Curiously, all the new signs were already out-of-date in Dec. 2003,
as Business US 220 does not appear anywhere here or along the new
extension south of Altoona.

Reassurance shields westbound along US 22/Business US 220. It is
more important to post signs for I-99/US 220 here than for US 22 or
the new Business US 220.

A mile to the west, Business US 220 turns left onto the old routing
of US 220 to Bedford from the pre-freeway days. US 22 now heads north
on PA 764, which begins here to the right, while the old, pre-freeway
US 22 passed straight ahead on Old Route 22. PA 764 is signed with
a "TO" banner.

Northbound on Business US 220/Old 220 approaching the same intersection.
Now US 22 is signed with a "TO" banner.

A closer view of the intersection. The US 22/Business US 220 duplex
begins to the right, while the US 22/PA
764 duplex begins straight ahead, though the first sign in the
distance is for US 22 only.
