US 322(E-W)/PA 949(S-N) Duplex

 

United States Route 322 and Pennsylvania Route 949 join for short duplex through Corsica in Jefferson County.

Southbound on PA 949 at its former southern end at US 322 in Corsica. On April 25, 2005, PA 949 was officially extended southward to PA 28 in Summerville, replacing Jefferson County's SR 3007. Now PA 949 turns eastward here to follow US 322 around Corsica.

PA 949 splits to the south after the duplex rounds the gentle bend, leaving Corsica. PA 949 follows Summerville Road south to its new end at PA 28.

Now facing in the other direction, PA 949 north turns to follow US 322 west on the east side of Corsica. PA 949 eventually leads to the nearest interchange with I-80.
