US 62(N-S)/PA 8(N-S) Duplex

 

United States Route 62 and Pennsylvania Route 8 join for 10 miles from Oil City to Franklin in Venango County. US 322 joins the duplex for a few blocks in the US 62/US 322/PA 8 triplex in Franklin.

Northbound on US 62/PA 8 in Oil City. US 62 turns right to cross the Allegheny River into the heart of the city. PA 8 continues northward toward Titusville. PA 428 begins to the left on its way to a duplex with PA 417 in Dempseytown.

Ten miles to the west, after passing through the triplex in Franklin, the two routes split toward Pittsburgh and Mercer.

 

 

US 62(N-S)/US 322(W-E)/PA 8(N-S) Triplex

  

United States Routes 322 joins US 62/PA 8 for a few blocks in Franklin in Venango County.

Northbound on US 62/PA 8 at the western split with US 322 in Franklin. The three routes combine for a few blocks.

At the eastern split, US 62/PA 8 joins US 322 on Liberty Street. Franklin has distinctive, red traffic signal poles.

US 322 splits to the north at 13th Street. US 62/PA 8 continue as a duplex for a couple more miles.
