The US 11/US 15 Susquehanna Trail
Shamokin Dam and Hummels Wharf
US 11/US 15 is a busy, congested 4-5 lane highway running through the
business district north of Selinsgrove in Shamokin Dam and Hummels Wharf.
At the north end of this stretch, US
11/US 15 split along the two branches of the Susquehanna River north
of the PA 61 Veteran's Memorial Bridge. At the south end of this stretch,
US 11/US 15 exits onto the Selinsgrove bypass,
while US 522 begins.

Northbound at Eleventh Avenue. US 11/US 15 is the Susquehanna Trail.
The original road by that name is a block to the right and is now the
Old Trail. In the distance is the interchange with PA 61. When the interchange
was built, the Old Trail was severed and no longer connects back to US
11/US 15 ahead. Eleventh Avenue is now signed as the way from the Old
Trail back to US 11/US 15.

In the mid-to-late 1980s, PA 61 was extended from PA 147 in Sunbury to
US 11/US 15 in Shamokin Dam via the new Veteran's Memorial Bridge. This
is US 11/US 15 northbound in Shamokin Dam where PA 61 begins.
