US 202 used to cross the Delaware River directly from New Hope, PA to Lambertville, NJ. The US 202 bypass was finished in 1975, and the old alignment and bridge (shown here) became PA 179 and NJ 179.

PA 179 becomes NJ 179 on the east end of the bridge and immediately meets Main Street (NJ 29) in Lambertville.

Southbound on US 202 at the circular arc border of Pennsylvania and Delaware. Welcome signs for Delaware are the main indication that the state border has been crossed.
