Like Reading, Bedford has two business routes: Business
US 30 and Business US 220. A few years after the US 220 bypass
was completed by 1970, Business US 220 was signed along the old route
from Cessna at current Exit 3 of I-99/US 220 south through Bedford
to a couple of miles south of Bedford Springs. The business route
is known as Richard Street in Bedford.

The north end of Business US 220 is indicated along Business US 220/PA
56, which follows the old US 220 alignment. PA 56 makes a turn to
the left to meet I-99/US 220. Technically, Business US 220 should
follow PA 56 to meet US 220.

PA 56 west makes a left while Business US 220 ends. Ahead is the
old US 220 alignment, which leads north to Altoona's
Business US 220.

PA 56 meets I-99/US 220 at a diamond interchange, where Business
US 220 should end.
