US 322 originally ended at US 22 in Water Street, having followed current routes PA 350, Business US 220, and PA 453 from Philipsburg to Water Street.

Entrance at the Pennsylvania/Ohio state line

US 322 crossed the Pennsylvania line into Ohio along the western short of the Pymatuning Reserviour. The large lake is off tot he right past the trees. Ohio's first US 322 reference marker can be seen here.

Now facing in the other direction along US 322, which is a more modern two-lane road than many of its other original segments through Pennsylvania and Ohio.

At the state line, one enters Crawford County in Pennsylvania. The first Pennsylvanian reference marker is posted next to an old state line marker.
