	A Brief History

Business US 322 was signed in the 1960s after US 322 was moved to the West Chester bypass. The business route follows the old US 322 routing through the center of town, meeting US 202/US 322 at the south end of the expressway bypass and US 322 west of town. From east to west, Business US 322 is locally known as High Street (south of PA 3), Chestnut Street and Gay Street (in the middle of town), Hannum Avenue (west side of town), and Downingtown Pike (west of town).
